Dear Patients and Parents, On behalf of the THALASSAEMIA SOCIETY OF NSW and the THALASSAEMIA INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION (TIF) we would like to invite you to attend the 12th International Conference on Thalassaemia and the Haemoglobinopathies and the 14th TIF International Conference for Patients and Parents held on the 11-14 May 2011 in Antalya, Turkey. “These two simultaneous conferences, aim on providing the latest scientific and medical updates to both health professionals and patients and their families and exchanging knowledge and experiences.”Panos Englezos, President (TIF). To encourage patients to attend the conference, TIF will operate a Patients Sponsorship Programme to cover the accommodation costs and/or registration costs of participating patients. The Thalassaemia Society of NSW will provide some financial support towards the cost of attending the conference for the N.S.W Patients, which will be determined when final numbers of attendees are registered.
